Moriel Ministries

Shalom in Christ Jesus,

As many of you well understand, trials concerning health and injuries are extremely
common among believers, especially it would seem in the Western Democracies/Republics.
I believe some commentators have made the argument that since the church here has
not faced the outright physical persecution like countries in Asia or the Middle
East, The Lord has allowed this as source of trials that helps to refine His bride.

Concerning the overall state of the church as a whole and how stubborn even the
best of us are, I suppose this seems quite plausible.

It has also been said that the Christian walk is one of going from one trial to
another. You are either in the midst of one, coming out, going in or in the brief
gap when there is none. When you are in that brief gap of rest and everything seems
to be going great, you begin to learn to look out and say to yourself "ok Lord,
now what's coming?"

This is not what the prosperity preachers or the cheap grace gospel preachers would
have you think Christian life is "all about". They have effectively inoculated much
of "Churchianity" from the true gospel of Jesus Christ by giving them a small dose
with only parts of the entire gospel of the kingdom and therefore when the going
gets tough, three quarters fall away [http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Mat&c=13&v=18&t=NASB#18].

I personally have to testify that is has been a battle to get the false gospels
out of my head that I have heard all my life before hearing the truth. That is why
I call it being inoculated. As if you have been infected by a virus (only in this
case intentionally by an enemy), one has to continual fight against it with the
antidote, the unadulterated Word of God.

With that, Moriel's team has been going through many trials concerning health and
other concerns such as employment decisions, so please keep us in your prayers.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

BE/\LERT!
